Make Lafayette Elementary the page that you and your kids start out on when you logon to the Internet. It only takes a minute. Find the instructions below for your computer and browser. If you get confused, ask your student. They are being shown how to make this change at school.
To make Lafayette Elementary your default home page, follow these steps:
Internet Explorer 5 & 6 users
Internet Explorer 4.0 for Macintosh users
Netscape Communicator users
Netscape Navigator 3.0 users
Internet Explorer 5 & 6 users
- In the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
- In the Home page section, type http://www.mylafayette.org/ into the Address text box.
- Click OK.
- Click the Home button in the toolbar.

Internet Explorer 3.0 for Macintosh users
- On the Edit menu, click Preferences.
- In the list on the left of the dialog box, click the Home/Search button (under Web Browser).
- Click Use Default.
- Click OK.
- Now click the Home button in the button bar.

Netscape Communicator users
- In the Edit menu, click Preferences.
- Click the Home button in the Navigator Starts with section.
- In the Location: text box in the middle of the window, type http://www.mylafayette.org/.
- Click OK.
- Click the Home button in the toolbar.

Netscape Navigator 3.0 users
- In the Options menu, click General Preferences.
- Click the Appearance tab.
- In the Startup section, select Home Page Location.
- In the text box immediately below Home Page Location, type http://www.mylafayette.org/.
- Click OK.
- Click the Home button in the toolbar.
